Church

Have you ever wondered if you were attending the right Church? Before I became a minister I had often wondered if it was necessary to even go to Church. Little did I know that Jesus Christ (God) was the head of the Church and this being true I got in very quickly. Later I learned that the true Church of Jesus Christ was not only in a building, but was believing and out doing the work thereof, for faith without works  is dead faith. Jesus Christ said to Simon Barjona (Peter), "and upon this rock I will build my Church. "This happened after Peter's confession that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the Living God. So then, God's Church is not actually built upon the rock in a building, but in believing. So, if you believe in God and you are sharing your belief with others, you are in God's Church already. Jesus Christ said "whenever two or more come together in my name there I am also." (St. Matthew 16:13-18, Matthew 18:20).

The Sabbath
Sunday being the first day of the week, then naturally Saturday is the Sabbath - the day of rest. Even God rested on the seventh day, but He taught us that he even has authority over the Sabbath, and if we need to work on that day, it's okay. The Sabbath was made for us, not us for the Sabbath; (Mark 2:27-28). God commands us to keep the Sabbath (Saturday) Holy. Rest is necessary, but God also wants us to know and realize that some works are needful and acceptable on the Sabbath; (St. Matthew 12:11-12, St. Mark 2:23-28). Note: Biblical days = Evening to evening. Sabbath begins Friday at evening and ends Saturday at evening. "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.": Hebrews 4. When honoring the Sabbath, stay in your home, do not work, neither buy nor sell; for such things pollute the Sabbath. Rest and be refreshed (Exodus 16:29-30, Exodus 31:12-18, Matthew 12:7-12).
